Reflectix Window Project.

"Reflectix is a double bubble product consisting of two outer layers of a highly
reflective material that reflects 96% of the radiant energy that strikes it's" .
Reflectix can be purchased in mosr Hardware stores.

I live in Arizona, so keeping the Roadtrek as cool as possible on the inside has become a priority with me. I decided to add Reslectix to all the windows except the bottom half of the rear side windows. The Roadtrek windows are all a different size/shape except for the rear side windows, so templates had to be made for each one. I suggest using poster paper, and cutting it about an inch bigger than the size of the window. Then use a cup, or what ever you can find that matches up to the corner curves. Mark, and cut the corners, then cut the template into four equal pieces. Using a little Scotch Tape (you will want to reuse these pieces so don't use too much) over lap the pieces until they fit inside of the window. Make sure the edges are inside the plastic frame, so the Reflectix can be pushed up and held into place by the frame. Now place the template over the Reflectix, mark it, and cut it out, and finish trimming any cut-outs. The 3 roof window are a pain, so you will  have to work a little harder on these.

I have found that, with the Adco Bonnet on, and the Reflectix in place, the inside temperature is lowered about 15 degrees, or more, than when nothing is used.

My next project is to make covers for the outside of the windows using suction cups with  posts and nuts to attach them to the outside of the window. More on this later.
